Microinjection of testicular spermatozoa intoocites (TESE)

In some patients, spermatozoa are not found in the ejaculate due to different causes or there may be some spermatozoa but with a high level of DNA fragmentation, thereforea testicular biopsy will have to be performed to obtain the best quality testicular sperm.

In vitro culture of testicular biopsy

Testicular tissue will be obtained performing a biopsy and physical rupture of the seminiferous tubules, and it is then introduced in anappropriate medium at 37 ºC and 5% CO2.It is left to grow for approximately two hours so that the sperm can become capacitated. They are then used for microinjection into oocytes.
